1973
Thanks to the entrepreneurial intuition of Paolo Pettenon, SICCE is founded, becoming the first Italian company to lead in the production of aquarium heaters.
1975
Driven by the need to serve newmarkets, SICCE expandsits product line, introducingrecirculation pumps and filtersfor aquariums and ornamentalponds.
1980s
SICCE introduces synchronousmotor technology in its products,starting with the F42 and P32internal filters—cutting energyconsumption by over 50% compared to asynchronous motor systems.
1990s
SICCE launches the MICRA pump,the first compact high-performance pump, and obtains its first patent. This decade marks a period of maximum global expansion for thecompany.
2002
SICCE research laboratories apply the electronic control system to the pump motors, thus allowing to reach high performances unique in the market.
To meet the growing production needs, SICCE moves from its historic headquarters in San Pietro in Gù to the new and larger production plants in Pozzoleone, which occupy an area of 70,000 square meters, of which 38,000 are covered.
2006
SICCE ITALIA Srl is founded, the concrete answer to the growing demand of the national market. The company deals with widespread distribution in the Italian territory, guaranteeing the best service to the shops.
2008
SICCE celebrates its 35th year of activity at Interzoo in Nuremberg, the most important European trade fair in the sector.
2009
SICCE, always at the forefront with technologies dedicated to aquariology and gardening, obtains 3 new patents: CO2 Life, the new CO2 delivery system for aquarium plants; VOYAGER, the complete line of handling pumps and GREEN RESET, the external pressure filtration system for ponds.
2010
SICCE USA is founded for the diffusion of the brand and distribution of products on the US market.
2014
SICCE celebrates its 40th year of activity at the Interzoo Fair in Nuremberg, presenting many new products.
2015
Ongoing advancements in pump technology have enabled the integration of electronic WiFi control in the latest SDC pump lines.
2016
The distribution branch SICCE AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is established to provide a more direct service and support to the customers in the OCEANIA markets.
2019
SICCE strengthens its presence in the U.S. by opening a new office and warehouse in Florida.
2022
After more than two years of global lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SICCE returns to Interzoo, unveiling new products and advanced technologies for aquariums.
2024
SICCE proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking a remarkable journey of innovation, growth, and global success. Led by the second generation, the company continues to drive progress in the industry.
This milestone year also sees the launch of NFC technology in the SCUBA line of heaters, setting new benchmarks for precision, control, and user experience. This celebration pays tribute to the past and paves the way for the future of innovation in the world of aquaristics and beyond!
2025
SICCE announces the opening of a new base in Georgia for its American subsidiary: SICCE US. A facility designed to consolidate its presence in the United States, Canada, Mexico and to provide even more effective and organized technical/commercial support. The center will directly manage some production lines and will also handle logistics and shipping services.
